About Santa Clara Unified School District

Santa Clara Unified School District serves over 15,500 K-12 students and an additional 6,000 students in preschool through adult school. Neighborhoods in the cities of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, San Jose, and Cupertino comprise the District’s 56 square-mile area. Santa Clara Unified prides itself on having teachers, classified employees, and administrators who are dedicated, experienced professionals who care about each student’s well-being and academic preparation.

How is the district involved in the community?

Santa Clara Unified School District engages the community in supporting student achievement. The Communications and Community Engagement office’s goal is to increase awareness, visibility, and support for Santa Clara Unified schools and programs. 

How is the district involved with the chamber? 

Superintendent for Santa Clara Unified School District, Dr. Stella M Kemp recently joined the Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She has more than 30 years of experience as a teacher, site administrator, regional administrator, and district office administrator. As a community member, Stella has served on multiple boards, most recently as a member of the San Bruno Rotary and San Bruno Kiwanis Club.
